Working at the intersection of art, science, and action to transform nature conservation Northeast India. through collaborative partnerships and community engagement. across
Our approach
Across projects, our members and collaborators work with forest departments and communities to create knowledge-based interpretation centers, train practitioners and researchers to translate their research into action by collaborating with designers, storytellers and other stakeholders. Canopy Collective is pioneering work at the intersection of art, science, and community engagement in Northeast India.
Our approach recognizes that biodiversity conservation requires transdisciplinary partnerships and intentionally holds space for pluralism and diversity in our work. We believe that effective conservation emerges from ground-up partnerships that honor local knowledge, foster community leadership, and bridge traditional wisdom with contemporary approaches.
